¡Viva Villa! at the heart of human nature – Extension of the exhibition

From the outset of this event, created in 2016, Cécile Debray assumed the responsibility of curating it in order to “Show the work of these winners” , and thereby the talents of tomorrow. The 2020 edition was to coincide with the launch of the Art Week in Avignon, which was kept in view of the state of health alert.

In October, the inauguration brought together performances, an exhibition at the Lambert Collection, and the launch of a catalog, which highlights the work of writers in residence. With the common thread, “tiny lives” – a reference to Pierre Michon – the program thus brings together works on themes as diverse as those of the crowd, anonymity, the microcosm, migration, networks, loneliness, collage, editing, fragments, sewing, filiation, affects… in visions that are necessarily intimate and subjective.

Find the projects of two exhibitors, Jeanne Vicerial and Sarah Kamalvand in the last one number of Intramuros.

Note, for its next edition, the festival will change to a biennial format. A call for applications has been launched for the police station .
