The ODP Letter N°671

Week of 11.10.2022

TuesdayWednesdayThursdayFridaySaturday
SundayMonday

Great and beautiful week for creation, whether it is architectural, design, craft or graphic. An exceptional event, to which the odp X intramuros invites the first seventeen interested by simple request to contact@theodpletter.com catalyzes several of these areas: the Paris Shop & Design Prize for which 19 Parisian finalists are looking forward to the evening next Monday.

In partnership with Le French Design, the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the aim of demonstrating that design is a lever for Parisian businesses, has launched this call for projects to allow a merchant to be accompanied by an architect-designer for the renovation or creation of his sales space.

The aesthetics, the functionality of the design, the ergonomics at the service of the customer experience, the accessibility and the relationship to the city and, for the first time, the consideration of the environment and sustainability in the design and the works, led to the pre-selection of which we deliver you the teaser below.

It’s your turn to bet on the winners!

To strengthen the attractiveness and international influence of the capital, the Paris CCI is developing specific actions to encourage brands and retailers to design renewed and inspiring sales spaces.

Paris is home to prestigious design, architecture and styling schools that train a large number of creative talents. At a time when digital technology is converging with other sales channels, it is more important than ever for the “physical” retail sector to seize this creative advantage to differentiate itself.

With this award, the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry wishes to raise awareness among the 62,000 Parisian retailers by demonstrating, by example, that design brings genuine added value to their business by revisiting the customer experience.

To seduce a versatile and over-informed consumer, brands have no choice but to offer innovative and differentiating shopping experiences… It is this abundance of commercial initiatives that Paris Shop & Design wants to reflect,” says Soumia Malinbaum, President of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In the age of cross-channel, convergence of information networks, click & collect… the physical point of sale is more than ever in interaction with its digital extension… To give maximum coherence to their messages, brands must script customer journeys, relying on the work of designers and architects, who know how to interpret this need Whether the customer buys or not, it must be successful “adds Gérald Barbier, 1st Vice President of the Paris Chamber of Commerce.

We capitalize, edition after edition, on this extraordinary creative bubbling that contributes to the attractiveness of Paris, a shopping destination par excellence ” underlines Nelly Rodi, founder of the Nelly Rodi agency.
