From September 5 to 11, Stockholm Design Week returns to the Swedish capital after a two-year absence. During this week, more than fifty furniture and lighting companies will present their new products, while dedicated design exhibitions will be organized throughout the capital.
“After two and a half years of silence, Stockholm can once again present world-class design events. During the week, young designers and brands will present themselves alongside established design and furniture companies.”said Hanna Nova Beatrice, project manager for Stockholm Design Week, in June. This new edition will be an opportunity to discover exhibitions presented in design studios, galleries and showrooms in Stockholm.
Among the 50 companies participating this year are Astrid, Bemz, Bolon, Blå Station, Fogia, Gemla, Massproductions, Montana, Noon, Occhio, Offecct, Stolab, Svenskt Tenn, Verk and Vitra, among others. “Now is the time for Stockholm to bring the furniture design industry together and once again consolidate our position as a strong and innovative design capital, attracting Swedish and international design companies,” added Hanna Nova Beatrice.
New: an interactive application to help you find your way around
For this edition, exceptionally organized in September – the event is normally held in February at the same time as the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair – the framework of Stockholm Design Week will be reinforced this year by the creation of an interactive application. It will list all participating businesses as well as exhibitions, showrooms and events in the city.
