The 12th edition of Restaurant & Bar Design was held virtually on October 15, due to the health crisis. This year, Intramuros joined the privileged partners of this global event.
The Restaurant & Bar Design Awards is an international competition dedicated to the design of hospitality spaces. Beyond bars and restaurants, it covers every imaginable reception area, from ships to airports, museums to hamburger vans, and revered Michelin-starred establishments to the fleeting dynamism of pop-ups.
Judged by a jury made up of some of the most influential figures in the world of design, hospitality and lifestyle, this annual edition of the awards has attracted more than 900 participants from 65 countries.

Restaurant Design Award 2020
Conçu par MUDA-Architects
Garden Hotpot, a restaurant in Chengdu, China designed by MUDA-Architects and INNS Bar, a bar in Chengdu, China designed by Wooton Designers are the winners of the 2020 Restaurant and Bar Design Awards. The other 42 category winners were revealed during the virtual awards ceremony, which took place online on October 15. The awards ceremony was attended by top designers from across the UK and around the world and their clients responsible for designing the most innovative dining spaces. In addition to presenting the 248 shortlisted projects and of course announcing the winners, the host of the awards ceremony – Harry Mckinley, interviewed Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and designers Martin Brudnizki, Lazaro Rosa Violan, Roisin Lafferty, as well as a selection of this year’s judges.
