The first platform for meetings, trends and exhibitions of Le FRENCH DESIGN
Through “Le FRENCH DESIGN”, VIA wishes to give international visibility and visibility to an ecosystem nourished by France, its schools, its creators, its artisanal and industrial know-how and its cultural heritage.
At the same time definition, standard, tribe of professionals and amateurs, exhibition, values, films, conferences, forward thinking, The FRENCH DESIGN by VIA inspires us and opens us to the world.
Alliance France Design
The Alliance française des designers (AFD), a non-political, multidisciplinary professional union, represents designers whatever their disciplines (products, spaces, messages) and whatever their status (companies, freelancers, employees).
Its objectives are to raise awareness and inform about the problems encountered by professionals and to support its members on the tax, social and legal particularities of the design professions.
It collaborates with other professional organizations (Europe) and represents designers to public authorities in France and Europe.
French Institute of Design
The French Institute of Design (IFD), founded in 1951 by Jacques Viénot, figure of French design, is an organization aiming to promote design in the industry, and selects products and services that prioritize respect for the user and of its environment.
The IFD therefore rewards design in industry every year by awarding Janus, which are labels awarded in different categories (see paragraph below). These labels are granted according to fundamental criteria that the Institute strives to apply, which are the “5E”, for: Economy, Ergonomics, Aesthetics, Ethics and Emotion.
