À l’occasion de la France Design Week organisée du 7 au 29 septembre, un appel à projets est lancé pour y participer. Les candidatures sont ouvertes jusqu’au 30 mai.
France Design Week est un label événementiel lancé en 2020 à la suite des Assises du design de décembre 2019. Cette manifestation d’envergure nationale a pour but de pour donner de la visibilité à la diversité et la vitalité des pratiques du design français. Chaque mois de septembre durant près de trois semaines sont organisés partout en France des expositions, des conférences, des visites d’ateliers ou de studios de design, des portes ouvertes d’écoles, des initiatives de networking… Une opportunité de plus de promouvoir le design auprès des professionnels en mettant à l’honneur tous les champs du design, sous divers formats, aux niveaux local, national et international.
A remarkable 2021 edition
Coordinated by the APCI, France Design Week is organized by a committee made up of around thirty design experts from all over France. From September 7 to 28, 2021, more than 260 events honored design. The edition brought together 206,400 visitors, almost everywhere in France and in 3 foreign countries (Italy, South Korea, Poland). The 240 contributors have set up events of all types: conferences, exhibitions, visits to workshops, discussions, afterworks… Event in which Intramuros took part via a talk , on September 8 in Paris.
Launch of a new call for projects
Until May 30, France Design Week is launching its new call for projects. By responding to them, the participants undertake through their initiatives to promote innovation through design and to promote their approach to as many people as possible. The latter is open to anyone with the desire to give visibility to design practices in France. It is then up to the regional committee to study the proposal and to distribute or not the France Design Week label. It should be noted that this year, the organizing committee wishes to better support the participants in the event. They plan to put support tools online soon, in particular through video tutorials and a participant’s guide.
