Pierre Arts Design in the Marais
The only Parisian gallery specializing in Scandinavian furniture – notably the golden age of Danish design in the 1950s and 1960s – the Pierre Arts Design gallery has been open since September 2020 in the heart of the Marais. Its founder Pierre Raguideau “presents the main Scandinavian designers of the 1950s while associating them with furniture and lighting designers of different inspiration and origins as well as contemporary artists. »It thus offers a demanding selection to collectors, amateurs and professionals, in particular pieces signed by Hans J. Wegner, Borge Mogensen, or even Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgaard Nielsen, Tobjorn Afdal, of lighting by Alain Richard or Etienne Fermigier as well as objects of African, Japanese and Scandinavian origin.

The Jouin-Manku agency signs the wellness area inaugurated at the Hôtel Les Haras
The Jouin Manku agency continues its collaboration with the Haras de Strasbourg. After reassuring the renovation-reconversion in 2014 of the royal site into a 4-star hotel, and its restaurant, Patrick Jouin and Sanjit Manku have just unveiled an extension of the place including a spa, conference rooms and 60 rooms, within the walls of the hotel. ‘an adjacent old clinic, run by the Deaconess sisters. In these new spaces dedicated to well-being (the hotel is in partnership with Nuxe), the volumes, the light, have been worked in an approach of care, attention and serenity. We find this search for purity and simplicity in the design of the furniture elements, the choice of warm materials to facilitate a sensory approach.
A new Molteni space by Vincent van Duysen
At 22 rue des Saints Pères, Molteni is opening a new space, near the historic UniFor showroom (located at n ° 6), renovated in 2019. Designed by Vincent Van Duysen, this project – of more than 550 square meters with seven windows – comes on two levels connected by a sophisticated staircase defined by a travertine and brass finish, while respecting the original characteristics of the building: its sense of space and the perception of its original design from the early 1900s are retained. The dividing walls subdivide generous volumes, interspersed with high brass portals. The Flagship Store presents the latest collections from the group’s two brands: Molteni & C and Dada.
Berluti opens a boutique in New York in collaboration with Oitoemponto
To enhance the heritage and the exclusive artisanal know-how of Berluti, OITOEMPONTO has chosen to favor natural light, textures and noble materials in a very sober setting. The duo have selected furniture in accordance with the discreet masculine universe of the house: graphic lamps, sofas and stools upholstered in leathers and tables in gold “Picasso” marble, as well as two iconic club chairs by František Jirák.
Kave Home: two store openings in 2020
After its first opening in France last August at La Roche-sur-Yon (85 °, Kave Home inaugurated its second physical store in December in Montévrain. The Spanish brand settles down at the Clos du Chêne commercial park, one of the largest open-air shopping centers in Île-de-France. With more than 450 m2 of dedicated space, the store presents the brand’s flagship collections, between furniture and decorative objects.
Calligaris opens a space in Marseille
With 74 resellers in France including 11 single-brand stores, Calligaris is setting up at 179 rue de Paradis, in the heart of the 6th arrondissement of Marseille. This new space of the Italian brand highlights the latest collections over more than 150 m2. It includes the Orbital, Echo and Cameo tables, Le Marais sofas, Saint Tropez and Fifties chairs, etc.
Sapide Design stages the Maison Philippe Conticini
Located at 31 rue Notre-Dame de Nazareth, in the 3rd arrondissement, the new boutique of Maison Philippe Conticini has just opened, managed by the chef and his partner, Yoav Peretz. was designed by the duo Sapide Design, designer and manufacturer of furniture.
