Maison et Objet confirms its September edition

After official confirmation from the government of a phased reopening program for French fairs and exhibitions, Maison & Objet confirms the holding of its show from Thursday 9 to Monday 13 September, in Paris Nord Villepinte, in synergy with Paris Design Week, from September 9 to 18.

In a press release, Philippe Brocart, CEO of Maison & Objet, today confirms the September edition of the event: “In order to definitively confirm the September 2021 edition, we were impatiently awaiting the green light from the French government . It is now official, the fairs and shows will be able to be held again from June 30, 2021 and that without limit of gauge. We are therefore in a position to announce that professionals will finally be able to meet again from Thursday, September 9 in Paris, in compliance with all the health security measures imposed by the authorities. The implementation of a health pass, required to date by the government, seems to us to be likely to reassure all the participants, especially if this principle were deployed on a European scale. ”

In 2020, in the context of the health crisis, M&O experimented on its MOM (Maison & Objet and More) platform with various digital formats to maintain the link between brands and buyers. permanent relationship with 220,000 buyers and specifiers, users of the platform, around the world. And it is on the strength of this experience that the organizers are aiming for a renewed edition in September around an In / On / Off variation.

Maison & Objet “In”: the strength of the face-to-face

To date, the organizers specify that more than 1,500 brands have already confirmed their presence on the September edition, demonstrating the need for professionals to continue to meet “face-to-face” alongside the accelerated appropriation by the pandemic of all the possibilities of online exchanges. 93% of regular visitors already confirmed, the day after the announcements from the French government, their intention to come to the next show at the Parc des Expositions de Paris-Nord Villepinte (see Maison & Objet online study, administered from April 30 to May 3, 2021).

Maison & Objet “On”: the strength of digital

Launched in 2016, the MOM platform played a decisive role in maintaining activity in 2020, and is today one of the essential cogs in the structure of the event. An articulation is therefore imagined with the physical living room : For example, the brands exhibiting at the show will be able to broadcast on MOM videos of their collections captured before the show or on their stand to reach a large export clientele who could not have traveled and to continue meetings with the whole world at – even beyond the event. At the same time, social networks will relay news from exhibitors, events from the digital platform and off.

Maison & Objet “Off”: Paris Design Week

Building on the success of attendance in 2020, the development of new forms of meeting, Paris Design Week 2021 is focusing attention more than ever, with an ever richer program, around a hybrid audience, combining professionals and the general public. An opportunity for certain brands to present their new products in their showroom or gallery, and for places of reference such as the Sorbonne, the Historical Library of the City of Paris, the National Archives or the Carnavalet Museum to be the showcase installations and promote young designers.
