Ligne Roset unveils its 2020 collection

Ligne Roset is collaborating for the first time with designers Pieter Maes, Ramy Fischler and Sebastian Herkner as part of its new 2020 collection.

Monolog – Dimensions : L. 53,5 x P. 46 x H. 45,5 cm

Pieter Maes signs the Monolog stool. The Dutch designer, who set up his studio in Paris in 2017, is a fervent defender of timelessness and pure forms. His creations draw on primitive art and art forms unknown to our history. For Monolog, he was inspired by Neolithic civilizations and offered a stool in solid black stained ash, with a raw and unique shape.

Valmy – Dimensions : H. 81 x P. 61 x L. 60 x H. assise 48 cm

Ligne Roset and Maison & Objet designer of the year 2018 Ramy Fischler give birth to the Valmy. This armchair-bridge is the very embodiment of the work of the young Belgian: a product that puts a distance between history, space and furniture since it combines the elegance of the forms of the 20th century and the sobriety of the colors of the 21st century. Its structure in steel wires overmolded with injected foam and the two legs in solid beech (anthracite stained, natural varnish) or black lacquered metal allow the Valmy to adapt to all types of contexts, colors and materials.

Lewa, table basse : L. 107, 6 x L. 72 x H. 34 cm
Taru, méridienne : H. 73 x P. 92 x L. 172 x H. assise 43 cm

Sebastian Herkner mixes traditional, almost forgotten craftsmanship with new technologies to highlight materials and draw the eye to subtle details. A style that Maison & Objet’s designer of the year 2019 applies to Lewa. This coffee table, in ash and ceramic, is inspired by basalt organs. Each component has a unique shape and their assembly recalls this superposition of regular and asymmetrical prisms, the result of solidification and thermal contraction of magma flows.
The German designer also imagines Taru, a sofa that highlights the artisanal know-how of Ligne Roset and appeals to the senses. The materials and colors are mixed: the room is entirely in foam, equipped with a fully upholstered base and a seat with a bi-material backrest. The cushion and the ottoman, identical to the encroachment, accentuate the comfort of the model.
