As part of the Italian Design Day event, follow a debate online on July 7 at 5.30 p.m. on “New challenges for the sustainable restart of Made in Italy”.
After an opening address by the Italian Ambassador to France Teresa Castaldo, architects Jean-Michel Wilmotte and Cino Zucchi will speak with the moderation of Intramuros. The discussion will be filmed at Maison Ozenfant, the Parisian headquarters of Italian leader Tecno.
Launched in 2017 by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration and with the support of the Ministry of Cultural Goods and Activities, Italian Design Day is an annual thematic event that promotes Italian design all over the world.
For this 2021 edition in France, it is a unique setting, the Maison Ozenfant in Paris, that the Embassy of Italy in France and the Consulate General of Italy in Paris in collaboration with ICE – Italian Agency for Foreign Trade have chosen to organize an event on July 7th.
A debate hosted at Tecno’s Paris headquarters
This privilege was made possible by a leading Italian design company, Tecno, which inaugurated in 2017, in this house-workshop, the Parisian office now open to its network, exporting the TClub project already active in Milan, capital of design, which is restarting with the Furniture Fair from 5 toSeptember 10, 2021, with a new format, open and dynamic, designed by architect Stefano Boeri.
Tecno is therefore opening its Parisian doors to host a discussion around the theme Project and material: new challenges for the sustainable restart of Made in Italy.
This intimate format debate will bring together exceptional speakers. The Ambassador of Italy in France, Teresa Castaldo, will welcome the French architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, the Italian architect Cino Zucchi and the representative of the company Tecno Mr. Florent Leonet. The moderation will be moderated by Cléa Daridan, historian of art, architecture and design, contributor to Intramuros.
An exceptional place
Maison Ozenfant is the house-workshop designed by Le Corbusier in 1922 for the artist and friend Amédée Ozenfant. Le Corbusier’s first residential project, the house expresses a convergence of intentions and ideals between architect and artist, thus becoming the “test bed” for the concepts that would lay the foundations of the design philosophy of Le Corbusier.
An architecture with a purist character, full of light: a place of choice therefore not only for creativity but also for reflection. A perfect framework to discuss the relaunch of Italian Design in 2021.
