Covid-19: Lafuma Mobilier donates chairs to hospital staff

Lafuma Mobilier is part of the chain of solidarity with Lyon hospital staff who are struggling with Covid-19. The French furniture manufacturer has donated hundreds of Relax armchairs, an iconic seat of the brand.

Relax is one of Lafuma Mobilier’s most iconic armchairs: this deckchair dedicated to relaxation can be used both as lounge chairs outside and as a relaxation chair inside. Given its ergonomics, it has been used in care units for several years, in particular for complete relaxation obtained with the zero gravity position. In this period of health crisis, Lafuma Mobilier has decided to support nursing staff in its own way.

The first action was held on March 23. In association with the Fondation des Hôpitaux de France, Lafuma Mobilier donated 125 Relax chairs to four hospitals in the Lyon region. An action repeated the following week for the hospitals of Montélimar and Grenoble.
It seemed natural to us to participate and that it made sense for the company and all of its employees since we produce armchairs every day for professional uses such as health. ”Assures Lafuma Mobilier CEO Arnaud Du Mesnil. The Relax armchair is designed for rest in a hospital environment: the mattress is waterproof to fight bacteria and classified as fireproof.
The French manufacturer also delivered Relax Vital armchairs. Equipped with the Zero Gravity position, it will allow the nursing staff of the CHU Saint-Pierre in Brussels (Belgium) and the Lucerne hospital (Switzerland) to benefit from optimal recovery.
