Carbone Club : brutalist and underground

Carbone, a new Parisian club located in the 10th arrondissement, was launched by the agency H A I K U in collaboration with Entourage Paris and Culture. As for the architecture, Nicolas Sisto was in charge of creating the space: a raw concrete cube laid bare for a minimalist result, which reserves its share of mysteries… and light effects.

Inaugurated on September 10, the Carbone club, whose artistic direction was imagined and led by the agency H A ï K U, Entourage et Culture, proposes to mix the brutalist architecture with brightly colored light effects. A place that unveils a monolithic horizontal fluorescent orange DJ booth, accompanied by an L-Acoustics sound system, high quality.

A project with responsible values

Carbone Club imagines parties as minimalist as its aesthetic. Indeed, there is only one point of contact, via a single telephone number that customers must call to obtain information on the week’s musical program, the price of admission, the address…

And since it is located in the basement of the Caserne – a building that defines itself as a gas pedal of ecological and societal transition dedicated to the fashion and luxury industry in Europe – it was difficult to imagine not using responsible approaches. The lighting in the club was created by Matière Noire using recycled LED elements (from an old event installation) and hidden behind sandblasted glass panels. Also, Club Carbone is equipped with Andréa air purifiers created by Mathieu Lehanneur, a wink to remind the vital necessity of carbon?
