Since 2010, the Biennale Émergence has brought together designers and artisans at the Center national de la danse in Pantin. The next edition will take place from October 8 to 11. The call for applications for the next edition is open until April 30. Intramural is a partner of the event.
The 6th edition of the Emergence Biennale will be organized around the theme “Resources”: ““Echoing this awareness that now irrigates the ecosystem of design and know-how, this 6th edition of Emergences brings together creations of multiple scales and horizons. Revealing admirable resources and showcasing new economies, new uses and new aesthetics, this is what we wish to share thanks to the curatorship led by Frédéric Bouchet and Didier Courbot ”, explains Gérard Cosme, president of the Est Ensemble territory.
Calls for applications
The Biennale Émergence will include a central exhibition and a Concept Store space.
For the exhibition , the call for applications is open to designers and professional craftspeople. Around a hundred works will be selected for their creative dimensions and their ability to echo the “Resources” theme as part of the exhibition route. The project (s) submitted during the application may already be carried out or in progress. Applicants undertake to complete the selected projects before June 14, 2020. Applications will be selected by a jury of experts.
For the Concept Store, the pieces will be chosen by the curators and the creator of the concept store, echoing the program. This space is above all an opportunity for designers and artisans to market their latest creations to professionals and the general public.
