“Longing – woven threads, intersecting narratives”

Opening of the exhibition “Longing – woven threads, crossed stories” (12-05/14-08) by six artists – Julia Bland, Mark Corfield-Moore, Kristina Müntzing, Emelie Röndahl, Mariana Silva Varela and Côme Touvay – who, through their weavings, evoke their history and question the notions of origin, heritage, belonging, family, spirituality and existence.

Longing in English means, here, the desire to find oneself or to find oneself again, the nostalgia for the past, the regret of missing beings or unfulfilled dreams. Around thirty woven works form a veritable journey between the interior, courtyard and garden of the Hôtel de Marle.
