A private swimming pool worthy of a 5 star hotel.
Carl Abbé and the Carré Bleu team from Le Mans created this sublime swimming pool for an individual living in the Sarthe countryside. Emphasis has been placed on a sober and refined aesthetic, very contemporary. To obtain a mirror effect, this pool has peripheral overflow on all 4 sides. The choice of a textured reinforced membrane in slate gray accentuates the effects of reflections. The pool overflows onto natural blue limestone copings from Asia (in 100 x 40 x 3 cm – with a black wet effect when overflowing.
The choice of location was well calculated: the building’s large bay windows provide many openings to the outside, while offering a very bright space. The beach located around the swimming pool, with a surface area of 71 m2, was made of gray Avallon natural stone, size 60 x 40 x 1.5 cm. It benefits from a heated floor and stainless steel beacon LEDs have been integrated into it. The pool has a corner staircase with 3 steps. The 1st step which discreetly houses the automatic cover serves both as a bench to relax, but also as a submerged beach for children.
From the point of view of maintenance, the water treatment is carried out by a UV sterilizer, with injection of active oxygen, for soft water and a more eco-responsible treatment. The swimming pool is heated by a tubular exchanger connected to the existing boiler which itself works with the biogas plant built by the customer. It is also equipped with a dehumidification unit to benefit from a healthy and comfortable space. Finally, for safety reasons but also to achieve substantial energy savings for water heating, it is equipped with an automatic shutter with integrated box for perfect aesthetics.
